right after the mail-in and online order forms. Print this
guide and save it for a handy reference to help you reach
the appropriate Division and staff members for your purpose.
To be updated as needed, the Guide provides information about
each of the Commission's four divisions, phone and fax numbers,
email addresses, forms to order by fax, tips on productive
use of the Commission website, and a map to the Commission
office.
Position of Executive Director Available
The position of Executive Director of the Real Estate Commission
is available. The North Carolina Real Estate Commission has
employed Young and Associates to assist the Commission in
the search for a new Executive Director. A description of

Expanded and Updated Broker-in-Charge Guide Published
The Broker-in-Charge Guide, a valuable resource for the
management of North Carolina real estate offices, has been
updated and expanded. This 194-page volume features a lengthier
discussion of licensee compensation with several pages of
examples, plus updating of the requirements for maintaining
and reinstating BIC eligibility under the new rules effective
July 1, 2009. Orders may be placed for the book either online
from the Publications page or with printed forms to mail or
fax.
Updated License Law and Commission Rules Book Available
The Commission’s newly updated North Carolina
Real Estate License Law and Commission Rules is now available.
Dated July 2009, this 92-page book is published as a convenient,
portable reference and contains four sections: North Carolina
Real Estate Law, Commission Rules, Trust Account Guidelines,
and License Law and Rule Comments. The Rules and Comments
sections are current with the rule changes effective July
1. Orders can be placed from the Publications page using online
forms or printed forms to mail or fax. Each section is also
available using Acrobat Reader on the License Law/Rules page.
New Address, Fax Number for Purchasing Commission Publications
The Commission has a new service provider to fulfill orders
for purchased publications. Avoid delays of as long as two
weeks when mailing or faxing orders by updating your address
and phone records as follows: Commission Publications, P.
O. Box 28151, Raleigh NC 27611 or fax to 866-867-3746. New
order forms are available to print or download from the Publications
page.
Postlicensing Educational Guidelines
For complete information about your postlicensing education
requirements according to your license category (PB, PB9,
PBT or Nonresident), go to the "Postlicensing" button to the
left on this page and follow the appropriate links. Your license
category appears on your pocket card.
Trust Account Compliant Software Vendors List Now Available
A list of vendors of software that the Commission has found
to be "substantially" compliant with Commission rules and
the Trust Account Guidelines can be found by clicking
here.
